About the Event

Key Highlights
The Lagos State Safety Commission (LSC), established in 2011, serves as the state’s principal agency for the formulation, regulation, and coordination of safety standards across all sectors. Guided by a vision to proactively make safety a lifestyle in Lagos, the Commission’s mission is to develop and implement strategies that promote a sustainable safety culture through a regulated and coordinated safety system. Empowered to issue or withdraw safety compliance certifications, the LSC plays a pivotal role in protecting lives and property throughout the state.
In line with its core mandate, Evaluation, Engagement, Education, and Enforcement, the Commission has championed significant reforms in public and workplace safety. Its efforts have earned recognition from global institutions such as

Notable initiatives include the establishment of the Occupational Safety Officer Cadre and Executive Officer (Occupational Safety) Cadre within the Lagos State Civil Service, further demonstrating its commitment to proactive and institutionalized safety governance.
